Windstream Collaborates with Avaya to Develop Fully Managed UCaaS

By

The growth of Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS) is predicted, by Frost & Sullivan, to continue its steady growth pattern due to a dynamic market and need for hosted and managed business applications. As an attractive option for businesses of all sizes, UCaaS provides the same basic communication functions as traditional UC, through a virtualized environment versus equipment located with the user.

Yesterday we announced that Windstream is expanding its managed UC service offerings with the addition of a fully managed, cloud-based advanced Unified Communication as a Service (UCaaS) solution designed for small, medium, and enterprise level businesses. Collaborating with Avaya and its suite of Avaya Aura communication solutions, Windstream customers will soon have access to features, applications, and functionality of advanced UC, mobile and desktop collaboration, and messaging.

By integrating UC solutions into the Windstream cloud, businesses have the flexibility to add users on an as needed basis with a scalable service that grows with your business. Windstream’s secure SSAE 16, SOC 1 Type II compliant data centers ensure that all communication data is hosted in a secure location.

Last week at the International Avaya Users Group (IAUG) CONVERGE 2013, UCaaS was discussed at length and coined as a game-changer when it comes to the way service providers deliver voice and UC technology. According to many industry leaders, UCaaS can offer businesses a competitive edge.

For example, Windsteam’s UCaaS solution is designed to allow employees to be anywhere and everywhere while providing consistent communication. This flexibility is key to allowing deskbound, deskless, and “road warrior” employees to effectively conduct business. In addition, cost efficiencies, increased employee satisfaction, and increased technology integration for BYOD are just a few of the additional business benefits that come with UCaaS.
