  • Access to the data center requires a zoned security access card
  • 24-hour security monitors all cameras, door positions and badge access areas
  • Cameras on each doorway
  • Redundant off-site monitoring of all security systems
  • Raised floor rated to support 1200lbs./sq. ft.
  • Conditioned air is supplied via the raised floor for more efficient and effective cooling of computer equipment
  • Leak detection systems throughout the facility

Cage/Cabinet

  • Cabinet locks are uniquely keyed
  • Windstream Hosted Solutions maintains control of all keys and access to cages and cabinets require an escort from security personnel

HVAC

  • N + 1 configuration ensures redundant standby units are always available
  • Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units are positioned around the data center in a perimeter cooling model to ensure adherence to strict temperature and humidity thresholds
  • Moisture sensors are strategically located around the data center
  • Separate and further redundant cooling systems for critical support areas (NOC, MIS, Security)

Electrical

  • A-side and B-side power availability
  • Redundant Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) availability
  • Dedicated emergency generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) systems to support critical load
  • Each Power Distribution Unit (PDU) distributes power to power strips on each rack
  • Emergency generator, regularly tested, for added protection
  • Indefinite run time with refueling (over one week of continuous operation without refueling current load)
  • Locked within a sound-attenuated enclosure
  • Critical functions are remotely monitored within the data center

Building Management Systems

  • Building management systems monitor critical infrastructure and environment throughout the facility

Security Cameras

  • Cameras digitally record all movement in and around the data center
  • Separate cameras focused on all interior and exterior doorways
  • Video surveillance footage is kept for a minimum of 30 days

Access Controls

  • 24 x 7 onsite personnel
  • Card-reader access system
  • All customers are escorted to their cage and cabinet
  • Alarms are triggered for forced and doors held open
