Windstream Hosted Solutions' Little Rock, Arkansas Data Center provides Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), cloud services, managed services and more in a HIPAA, PCI DSS, SSAE-16 SOC 1 Type II, SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 compliant facility. It's designed with 2N power distribution and parallel uninterruptable power supplies  (UPS) to meet the most demanding requirements. Our secure data center facilities ensure your systems, applications and data are safe from tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods and other disasters—natural or otherwise.   • Both the A-side and B-side electrical systems have two paralleled 750kVA high-efficiency Mitsubishi UPS systems
  • Total of four 750kVA Mitsubishi UPS systems expandable to eight
  • True 2N UPS redundancy in each electrical system
  • 1,215kW of usable UPS capacity expandable to 3,600kW
Power Distribution
  • 12 dual sourced 300kVA Static Switch Power Distribution Units (STS PDUs)
  • Expandable to 32 STS PDUs
  • Each STS PDU has an A-side and B-side input source and is capable of switching between sources within 4ms in the event of an upstream system failure
  • The fast detection and switching capability of the STS PDU (<4ms) allow for uninterrupted power (even for single power-supplied equipment)


  • Two high-efficiency 450 ton McQuay air cooled chillers expandable to four
  • 2N chiller redundancy with 2N chilled water pump redundancy dedicated to each chiller
  • Nine 60 ton high-efficiency Liebert Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAHs) for N+1 CRAH unit redundancy within the data center
  • Expandable to 32 60 ton CRAH units
  • All CRAH units are dual fed from A-side and B-side sources and automatically transfer to the alternate source in case of an upstream electrical failure

Fire Suppression / Smoke Detection

  • Multiple zone VESDA early warning systems
  • Three-level alarm annunciation throughout complex
  • FM200 gas fire suppression and double interlock dry-pipe, pre-action sprinklers


  • Connected to multiple Windstream core POP sites via redundant OC-192 10Gbps circuits
  • No single point of failure – each circuit is on a diverse path
  • Fully redundant peering with multiple Tier-1 ISPs
  • Carrier-neutral facilities

Onsite Staff 24 x 7 x 365

  • Windstream Hosted Solutions maintains an on-site support NOC and Engineering staff 24 x 7 x 365
  • On-site staff provides facilities and network monitoring, security and technical / remote-hands support


  • Windstream utilizes a suite of tools and methods to provide proactive notification of server or service-affecting outages
  • The health and operation of all critical infrastructure, environmental conditions and power usage is monitored by a building control system

Data Center Security Access

Authorized individuals can access the data center 24 hours a day.

Authorized individuals include:
